This is my agent help progman(aph) entry. Lets see how it goes :)

Hello, I am swettie101, sorry so long but being a agent is important and a serious matter.

I have heard some Chobots describes agents as someone with blue chat and a badge. In my mind I am thinking, how wrong that person is. An agent is someone who was specially picked by a mod to become what they are. Out of the thousands of players on Chobots there are very few who have then honor of being an agent. To have that blue chat and badge on a playercard shows something. It shows that agents care about Chobots and are dedicated 100% to help Chobots and its players out in any way they can. Agents do everything in their power to do just that and they let nothing stop them. They follow the rules, help others, are trustworthy, and they think of all the possible ideas to improve Chobots. Anyone can say they love Chobots but few have the badge to prove that as a fact.

An agent’s job is not easy as some say. Being an agent results in a ton of mail. Agents have to answer their mail and chat with friends so they can remain true friends. While they are doing this they must remain aware of other Chobots chat. If they see a chobot disobeying rules (spamming, dating, scamming, being mean, swearing, e.t.c) they go to that chobot and clammy ask them to stop disobeying rules and state it is not allowed. If that chobot continues after the 3 chances they are given the agent ignores and reports. Agents also have to make sure a crowd does not form around that chobot. While agents are answering their mail, they also have to look for chobots that may be arguing. The agent goes to them to see if they can help in any way they can. Agents also have to be on the look out for new chobots who may need help. They offer to tour them and see if they can assist the new chobot in any way. Also they look for any sad chobots that they may need to cheer up and comfort. When agents get the chance they also brainstorm ways to help make chobots a better place (clothes designs e.t.c) These are a agents duties; handing all these things at once. Agents have to be flexible and caring. They love what they do and they enjoy doing it.

I often think about this question “Why do we need agents?”. The reason agents are here is to help make chobots a better place. Of course we know every chobot is not going to obey the rules. Well agents are there to make sure that they do. Seeing a agent will allow comfort to a regular chobot player. Once that chobot sees the agent they know they have a friend. A friend who is willing to talk to them, help them, and be someone when they need a shoulder to cry on; that’s what the agents do. Now imagine Chobots without agents. I picture chaos. Dating, fussing, fighting, and swearing. Without agents, Chobots would be a mess, and it would lose players, Players would continue to decrease until there was no Chobots. But with agents Chobots lives and most likely will grow and live strong forever.

I have said this many times. To be come a agent you must follow the rules. You act as though there is a secret mod (and you know it is a secret mod, but mod does not know you know) watching you at all times. You do this naturally because it is the only way you know how to act. You become experienced with Chobots and you know your way around well. When you are with friends you still obey the rules. You do not secretly date, scam, or swear, e.t.c. but you obey the Chobots code with honor. You are always nice. Of course everyone has their bad days but you must still have a positive attitude. You help other chobots in any possible way. You are polite to others and you treat them as though they are your one and only friend. Touring new chobots, answering chobots questions, and allowing others to use your color shower are ways of becoming a agent. You are nice to agents and ask them do they need any help or such. Once you have done these things you will be noticed by the agents. The agents will compliment you and tell you to keep up the good work. Afterwards they may recommend you. Then one of to things may happen. You may be recommend a lot and chosen by a mod to be put on a agents poll on the official blog, or you may be made a agent earlier because a mod became aware of your hard efforts. If you are not chosen to be put on a poll or you have been working a long time and you still are not a agent, do not lose faith. You must continue to do good until you are rewarded with what you deserve.

While reading on Chobot’s blog I saw the requirements that agents must follow or else they will be de-agented. These rules where: do not lie to other agents or mods, you must remain a trustworthy person, make fair decisions and reports, do not break any of the regular Chobot rules and always be nice. In addition, pressure is put on agents because they will be de-agented if the do anything wrong so they have to be extra careful. In addition, they have to make sure they do not pop their top when dealing with a rule breaker.
